Meet the band

More than a trio.

Three multi-instrumentalists, one sound far mightier than “trio” suggests — modern folk tunes, expert calling, and a warm welcome for everyone.

How we came together

Sarah and Tom had been friends for years, always meaning to play together — they finally did, forming a wedding duo a couple of years ago. Dom joined soon after, bringing ceilidh calling into the mix and turning two into three. These days, Sarah’s the organiser, Tom’s the ideas man (and the first to lose his diary), and Dom’s got the voice that gets everyone up and dancing.

Tom

A proud Norfolk boy, Tom is a multi award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer who’s toured extensively across the UK and Europe with various groups. His passion is breathing new life into traditional folk tunes, while pushing the boundaries with fresh compositions of his own. When Tom says “I’ve had an idea…”, Sarah and Dom know they’re in for a ride — his tune reworkings always land somewhere brilliant.

Dom

A multi-instrumental actor, musician and singer, trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Dom’s worked all over the UK and internationally. He’s your caller for the night — talking every dance through step by step so nobody’s left guessing. When he’s not monetising his penchant for showing off, he’s usually out on his motorbike or partway through an over-ambitious DIY project.

Sarah

Sarah’s had a violin in her hand since the age of 5. Classically trained, then drawn into the storytelling of folk music, she now splits her time between performing, session work and composing. With grade 8 on three instruments, she’s usually thinking about what instrument to tackle next.
